Teflon Stirring Bar – Use in containers with bases that are slightly curved or uneven. PTFE Teflon Spinbar polygon magnetic stirring bars offer excellent centering and smooth running characteristics. The pivot minimizes the contact area of the bar to the vessel, reduces friction and lessens marring of plastic containers. Polygonal surface for efficient stirring action, Pivot point reduces noisy chatter while stirring and mixing. PTFE Teflon coated magnetic stir bar is inert and ideal for stirring aggressive chemical solutions. Steam autoclavable at 121° C (250° F) for sterile solution stirring applications.
These stirbars have polygon multifaceted surfaces that add turbulence relative to similar smooth size cylindrical bars.
