Alnico Horseshoe Magnets offer the highest working temperatures of any magnet currently available and are therefore ideal for high temperature heat treatment jigs and fixtures. They are also extremely mechanically strong and resistant to corrosion making them ideal for underwater (sub-sea) applications.

There are two different manufacturing processes for AlNiCo:
Cast and sintered.Cast AlNiCo can be made into many sizes and shapes,whereas Sintered AlNiCo is usually restricted to smaller sizes.However,both processes lead themselves to complex geometries and configurations.Standard Sintered AlNiCo has tighter dimensional tolerances due to its processing.It also has slighty lower magnetic properties,but better mechanical strength than Cast AlNiCo products.
This horseshoe magnet is small enough to fit in your pocket but will still lift an impressive weight. Each magnet is protected by a red epoxy paint coating. Alnico horseshoe magnets provide a compact, high power magnetic source, and are used for traction, lifting, sorting, clamping and retrieval. They are supplied with ground pole faces, painted and with metal keepers for storage and to help retain magnetic strength. Maximum operating temperature is approximately 930°F (500°C).
