Si-Fe Cores ( KSF Series) is made from 94% Fe and 6% Si. It is named XFlux by Magnetics and MegaFlux by CSC. It has a saturation flux density of 16000Gs and excellent DC-Bias characteristics. Its core loss is lower than Iron Powder Cores and have no problem of Thermal Aging. It is specially suitable for applying in, High Current Power Choke, Power inductor for energy storage, PFC Chockes and so on. It is also widely applied in solar, wind energy, hybrid powered vehicles. Permeability that we can produce now is 26ui-90ui, toroid and block shape.

Si-Fe Core is made form 94%Fe and 6% Si. It has a saturation flux density of 16000Gs and permeability from 14 to 90.A true high temperature material, with no thermal aging, Si-Fe Core offers lower core losses than powdered iron cores and superior DC Bias performance. Si-Fe Core also has excellent temperature stability and high energy storage capability. Si-Fe Core is mainly used in PFC circuit, power inductor etc.

Ferrites that are used in transformer or electromagnetic cores contain nickel, zinc, and/or manganese compounds. They have a low coercivity and are called soft ferrites. The low coercivity means the material’s magnetization can easily reverse direction without dissipating much energy (hysteresis losses), while the material’s high resistivity prevents eddy currents in the core, another source of energy loss. Because of their comparatively low losses at high frequencies, they are extensively used in the cores of RF transformers and inductors in applications such as switched-mode power supplies and loopstick antennas used in AM radios.
