An SR Motor is a doubly salient design with phase coils mounted around diametrically opposite stator poles. Energisation of a phase will cause the rotor to move into alignment with the stator poles, so minimizing the reluctance of the magnetic path, As a high performance variable speed drive, the motor’s magnetic are optimized for closed-loop operation. Rotor position feedback is used to control phase energisation in an optimal way to achieve smooth, continuous torque and high efficiency.

Neodymium magnets contain Iron and Boron, making them some of the strongest magnets in the world. Magnets of all types create a magnetic field, with both a north and south pole. About the Raw Materials

Minerals-such as Neodymium, Iron and Boron – are sourced from all around the world.
Many required elements, such as Neodymium, are very uncommon and newver found on their own. They must be heavily refined & processed before the material is useable!

Milling & Blending

The course materials are jet-milled down into powder, which is then blended into an incredibly precise composition.
At this point the powder is in danger of oxidation, and must be kept in an inert gas, such as Argon!

Pressing

The mixture is compacted into shape and a magnetic field is appled to ensure all particles are aligned… this maximises magnetic output!

Sintering

The ingredients are sintered at temperatures in excess of 1,000°c to achieve 99% density.
During this process, the magnet will shrink by nearly a fifth of its size! They are rapidly cooled, then re-heated to 600°c before being cooled again.

Finishing

A “clean-up” takes place by sanding the magnet into exact measurements. Finishing touches are added last.
