Rod Neodymium Magnets – NdFeB is the strongest magnet material available
NdFeB disc magnets are also known as NdFeB circular disc magnets
Such Neodymium circular disc magnets can be stacked on top of each other to build height and performance until the performance starts to plateau off with increasing height
For larger fields at a distance away, use larger diameter NdFeB circular disc magnets and then look at having the magnets thicker or taller by stacking
As NdFeB disc magnets become taller they are called NdFeB rod magnets or Neodymium rod magnets
A NdFeB rod magnet compared to a series of stacked NdFeB discs of the same overall size and grade should perform exactly the same
So if you are unsure of which magnet to use, consider a thinner or shorter magnet and build height through stacking until the required performance is met. If this means you actually require a bespoke or custom NdFeB magnet producing, we can do this for you very easily
Maximum operating temperature 80 °C for standard grades, more for higher Hci grade types e.g.100 °C for NxxM, 120 °C for NxxH, 150 °C for NxxSH, 180 °C for NxxUH, 200 °C for NxxEH and 220/230 °C for NxxAH/VH

Our neodymium (NdFeB) disc magnets are nickel plated unless stated otherwise – other coatings are possible.
Supplied with either a keeper or in in rows with a keeper at each end.
Other sizes, shapes, grades and coatings of Neodymium disc magnet (NdFeB disc magnet) and Neodymium rod magnet (NdFeB rod magnet) are available.

The length of the magnet means that it very easy to TIP it to it’s edge to remove it and, therefore, the pull and hold will feel significantly less than the calculation figures shown.
This is a seriously powerful magnet and is totally unsuitable for children.
Like all rod magnets, these are often used as reed switches.
