General Magnetic Base Stand Type B are widely used in metalworking to hold dial indicators. They are also used in other fields such as optics. The General Magnetic Base B helps you set up your workpiece in a surface grinder, milling machine or other form of machinery. The vertical post and rod in the magnetic base connect using swiveling connectors or snugs. This allows the arm to move freely so you can move the dial indicator into position on the workpiece. The iron in the “on” position acts as an extension of the magnet, while magnet in the “off” position acts as a keeper, preventing the magnetic field from extending through the base.

Dial indicator with high accuracy
The dial indicator is used to measure and set tools and devices on machines. The high accuracy of 0.01 mm enables precise measurements and therefore precise settings. The fine adjustment mechanism facilitates the zero adjustment of the mounted dial gauge. The dial indicator is attached to a magnetic stand that has a mechanical clamping on the magnetic base. The gauge is made of carbon steel, a material which has proven to be particularly hard and durable and is therefore used for tools. It is suitable for craftsmen, DIY enthusiasts or workshops.
