Ceramic Ferrite Disc and Rod Magnets are used as sensors, switches, filters, latches, locking, holding, separating/filtering applications, educational and in the craft and hobby industries. Ideal for use in damp conditions, very stable and resistant to many chemicals, diluted acids and alkaline solutions. Common diameter sizes range between 2mm and 40mm and length of Discs/Rods range from 2mm up to 25mm in thickness. Can be custom made to your requirements.
Most ceramic Ferrite Disc Magnets have the north and south poles on each end of the Disc/Rod. This is called axial magnetization and the field is through the thickness of the Disc/Rod. Multi Pole Magnets are available, where in, the poles are lined up across one face only in a N/S/N/S alignment. These magnets are generally marked with a ring or dimple on the reverse face and are widely used in the Craft and Hobby Industry as Fridge Magnets due to the low unit cost.
