Ferrite pot magnets, also known as holding magnets, are a great choice for clamping, gripping and fixing components together. Made from a ferrite magnet encased in a steel shell, these ultra-strong magnets can withstand ongoing impact without chipping or cracking. Designed to clamp directly onto a steel surface, ferrite pot magnets are ideally suited to industrial applications, such as the steel industry or in tool shops.
Unlike other ferrite magnets, the active magnetism is confined to one face of the ferrite pot magnet, creating a powerful clamping force. The steel casing concentrates the flux on the active face of the pot magnet, making it up to five times stronger than a normal ferrite magnet. Complete with fixing arrangements such as central countersunk holes, these magnets can be attached to non-magnetic surfaces with a screw or bolt.
