Application of Injection Magnets
Injection magnet is divided into magnetic ring, magnetic rotor and injection NdFeB. The product dimension has high precision and it is applicable to multi-pole magnetization. These magnets can be made into various complex shapes with adding axle or other inserts in the manufacturing process.
The injection rotor magnet includes the middle metal shaft and plastic magnetic material injection molding, and some of the main rotating parts in power machinery and work machinery.
Typical rotors include turbine mechanical rotors, motor rotors, rotors for various pumps, and rotors for turbine compressors. Used in automotive interior parts, electrical and motor parts, connectors, motors and other fields, with high impact resistance, wear resistance, electrical insulation, low moisture absorption, low viscosity, thermal stability and other performance characteristics.DC Oil Pump with Permanent Magnet Injection Rotor
The design and manufacturing of a DC oil pump rotor with an injection permanent magnet involve a sophisticated integration of material science and electromagnetic engineering to meet the rigorous demands of modern automotive and industrial applications. The rotor typically utilizes injection-molded bonded magnets, such as Ferrite or Neodymium (NdFeB) powders mixed with thermoplastic binders like PA12, PA6, or PPS, which are overmolded onto a shaft or integrated into a plastic impeller assembly. This process allows for high dimensional accuracy (concentricity < 0.05mm), complex shapes like damping grooves or steps, and flexible magnetization patterns including radial, axial, or multi-pole configurations on the outer diameter.
In the context of hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), recent advancements have shifted toward rare-earth-free designs to reduce costs and mitigate demagnetization risks at high temperatures. A state-of-the-art approach involves an interior tangential brushless DC (BLDC) motor using ferrite magnets, which feature a positive temperature coefficient that enhances stability under heat. To optimize performance, engineers have developed “air-isolated” injection-molded rotor structures. In these designs, the traditional silicon steel magnetic bridge is replaced by a vacuum or air gap (0 mm width) within the injection-molded assembly. This modification increases the reluctance of the leakage path, resulting in a 25.3% reduction in the leakage flux coefficient, a 21.7% increase in electromagnetic torque, and a 10% improvement in power density.
