Other types of disc magnets
As an alternative to neodymium disc magnets, you can also find ferrite disc magnets in our online shop. They do have a lower adhesive force compared to to the round magnets made of neodymium, but they are also less expensive. They are so-called raw magnets where the magnetic flux lines are dispersed in the air around the magnet (in contrast to pot magnets). This large areal distribution allows for attraction of metallic objects from a large distance.
