Ceramics are a bit too powerful for normal guitar parts, better for high-gain stuff. IMO not great in the bridge position -too brittle.
Alnico2 are great in the right situation, so Blues-rock, Southern rock 70’s pop etc Think Billy Gibbons.
Alnico5 (my favourites) are great for riff-laden rock/metal and general playing.
I have 4 guitars with Alnico5 bridge pickups, 3 have ceramic neck pickups.

Attributes of Ceramic Magnets
* Economical
* High Hc and Hci compared to Alnico.
* More fragile than other types of magnets, thus manufactured in simple shapes only.
* Require expensive tooling.
* Increased temperature sensitivity.

Ceramic magnets are chemically inert and non-conductive which offer advantages in applications requiring these attributes. We manufacture magnetic assemblies made with ceramic magnets, but because of the brittleness, we typically magnetize ceramic assemblies after the product is assembled.
Ceramic Magnets exhibit temperature limitations with a maximum operating temperature at 800°C. Elevated temperatures result in magnetic strength loss, but strength recovers when the material returns to room temperature. Temperatures above 450°C will require remagnetization. When using ceramic magnets in applications involving cold temperatures of -20°C or below please note that permanent loss of magnetic strength may result.
