Ferrite Cores and Hardware

Gapping & Grinding

HangSeng Magnetics can provide custom gapping and grinding to your required AL value, or to certain inductance using customer supplied test coils. We can also provide prototype gapping within 24 hours.

Coating

We provide epoxy and parylene coating services. A benefit of using parylene for coating for ferrite cores is the elasticity of parylene prevents alterations in their magnetostrictive properties. Epoxy can stand temperatures of up to 200°C (392°F) and can be used to coat very large and very small cores.

Lapping

Lapping is a value added service that polishes the mating surfaces of the core set in order to improve the AL value for a material. This is also known as a “mirror finish.”

Machining

Custom CNC machining is the best solution for applications where standard, catalog cores do not quite work. Our Haas CNC 4-axis milling machine can grind to those special shapes and sizes for your custom requirements. Prototyping and small to large production runs available.
Testing

We test your products as needed to make sure they are within industry standards. We can also sort to individual specifications.
